If your child or teenager is feeling low, anxious, or generally struggling, there are lots of services available to help them all year round. Please always encourage them to talk and ask for help if they need it.

The services listed on Just Talk’s webpage are all free and don’t need a professional referral, so they can be contacted directly by young people and/or their parents/carers. NESSie's Free Early Help Parenting Support Service

A free service is available for parents/carers of Hertfordshire’s children and young people with emotional and mental health issues aiming to help parents/carers in developing a positive and more confident approach to support their young person, whilst offering a chance to gain peer support, useful strategies, and practical tools:

  • Free online and face-to-face (within schools and community settings) informal parent/carer workshops. For further information and to book please CLICK HERE
  • Parent Support line: 07932 651319 (open Thursdays 9am-12 noon or by appointment)
  • Private moderated Facebook support group: NESSie Parent/Carer Support Group and Nessie in Ed.
  • 1-1 targeted brief support sessions (for more information, please complete THIS FORM and a member of their team will be in contact to arrange a chat).
  • Peer support groups
  • “Drop In and Chat Coffee Mornings” where parents/carers can discuss anything and everything.
