Herts marks Infant Mental Health Awareness Week by pledging more training

Healthy Young Minds in Herts is backing Begin Before Birth’s Infant Mental Health Awareness Week #IMHAW17, which runs from 12-16 June 2017.

On social media, we’re highlighting how different professionals in Hertfordshire now have a better understanding of infant mental health, thanks to a 16-week training course, funded by Hertfordshire’s two NHS clinical commissioning groups as part of our CAMHS Transformation.

They’ve told us how the online training course from the University of Warwick has given them a different view, making a difference to their working practice and how they support families.

And we're pledging to fund more training places in the course, which teaches how parents' and carers' behaviour and emotional wellbeing affects their baby's emotional development, wellbeing and mental health.
